Fear is the number one reason why incidents with attackers go badly
- 10.29.2008 - Article Number: 1

Fear is the number one reason why incidents with attackers go badly. In many cases you might be a better fighter than your opponent, however if you have fear or are fearful of loosing your battle, then chances are very good that you'll have already lost the encounter before it begins.

You do not know how good your opponent is. However your opponent ALSO DOES NOT KNOW HOW GOOD YOU ARE? So they have an uncertainty, even some fear you can play on. Watch his movement, but do not be fearful. Even against a superior opponent you can have a chance of defense or escape. Remain calm and meditate on the moves and your plan. Fear will make you forget everything.

Go into the encounter with confidence that you will win time and space to escape or possibly frighten your attacker.
